Luxury Wine Tour For Two (north Island) Description: Your experience begins from your accommodation where you will be picked up in a comfortable air-conditioned sedan. Lunch will be at a local winery. During the afternoon youll learn about the regions many different grape varieties and a little bit of local history. Once we reach our first winery we will take time to walk among the vines and learn about the unique growing conditions of the Gimblet Gravels district. You will taste classic red European varieties such as Syrah - Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Pinot Noir. The area is also famous for the white varieties, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Semillon, Pinot Gris and Viognier. Waiheke Lunch And Wine Tour For 2 Description: Your wine tour and lunch experience begins when you will be met by a knowledgeable local vibe. After meeting any other guests joining your tour you will board our comfortable minibus before setting off on intimate introduction to the people, produce and natural splendours of Waiheke Island. Be prepared for some awe inspiring scenery as you make your war around the island. Your guide will provide you with a wealth of knowledge about the scenery whilst you enjoy a stunning coastal panorama back to Auckland city, down the Hauraki Gulf and out to the Coromandel Peninsula. You will tour three wineries in three hours. You also may have a chance to visit an olive oil producer if your group elects to do so. Waiheke wineries offer boutique vineyards well known for their production of a Bordeaux style red as well as award winning Chardonnays and Syrahs. At each picturesque vineyard you will be met by either the owner, winemaker or a knowledgable staff member, who will talk you through the winemaking process and offer you tastings of 2-6 wines. Our guests often enjoy a walk through the vineyards and barrel rooms. There will be ample opportunity to ask any questions you may have. At the end of the three hour tour you will get to sit back and enjoy a delightful grazing platter at one of two world renowned vineyard restaurants, Mudbrick Vineyard or Stonyridge Vineyard. Wine Tasting Tour And Winery Lunch Description: Get ready for a full day wine tasting tour as you journey around the Hawkes Bay region by chauffeured mini bus! On the morning of your wine tasting tour, well collect you from your accommodation in the local area at approximately 9am. In our wine tasting tour and appreciation class, youll learn about the visual aspect of wine and the sense of smell and taste of Hawke`s Bay wines. Taste the difference between the many varieties and learn how to identify them before testing your skills in a wine options game.
